Little Ghost (feat.Ayana)
現在ロンドンで活躍中のシンガー、DJのAyana/彩菜が日本に一時帰国した際に会って一緒に作った、
Takeshi Kurihara の初のコラボ作品です。
電子機械とサキソフォンで遊んで生まれたモチーフの上でAyanaとセッションして生まれた曲です。
久しぶりに会ったAyanaからは、より純粋で毎日を楽しんでるって歌声が聴こえてきて、一緒に音が出せてとても楽しかったな。
やっているうちに自然と日本や世界各地の精霊のようなものを感じる音になっていったのでした。
今の僕のイイなあと思うサウンドです。
良い感じになったのでリリースします。
ジャケットは、今回Ayanaが日本を旅して撮影した写真とTakeshi Kuriharaのアートワークでできています。

Little Ghost (feat. Ayana)
This is the very first collaboration work of the Japanese artist Takeshi Kurihara. He invites Ayana who is now based in London as a singer and DJ.
The initial motif was created by Takeshi through his own experimentation and exploration with electronic machines+saxophone. Ayana joined with her voice that carried memories of joy. The collaboration naturally began to create sounds that gave the feelings of spirits from the mountains in Japan and beyond, across the world 🌎
The cover is made up of a photo taken by Ayana whilst her travels in Japan and artwork by Takeshi Kurihara.

声を表現ツールとして多様に操る。
1966年に創業した老舗のジャズライブハウス、代々木ナルを中心に都内で活動後、自身の音楽をより深く探求するために渡英。
渡英後は北インド古典声楽を学び始め、ジャズ、ソウル、北インド古典音楽を融合させたバンド「SOUND ANTHROPOLOGY」のボーカリストとして活動開始。ロンドン拠点のレーベルTime Capsule率いるTokyo Riddim Bandでもボーカリストとして活動中。
仲間と共にJAZZY SPORT LONDONを立ち上げ、ロンドンの音楽シーンでグルーヴ中。
Singer from Tokyo, Japan. Expressing through a low and gravitating voice as she explores the journey in voice expression. Growing up in Singapore, Japan, and studying Jazz in the deep mountains of California, she is now based in London. She is part of a Japanese Reggae band “Tokyo Ridden Band” and an Indian fusion band “Sound Anthropology”. She is also part of a music collective “Jazzy Sport London”, aiming to connect the scene between Japan and Europe to beyond.

中学生の頃、50年代の黒人音楽やロカビリーに憧れて土手でサックスを吹き始める。
即興と電子楽器を組み合わせたSOLOの他、SOIL&”PIMP”SESSIONS, KYOTO JAZZ SEXTET, Jazztronik, 清春などに参加し国内外で演奏。 太くアーシーな音色が好評を博している。Saxophoneと機械で新たな音像を探求中。

Takeshi picked up a saxophone in his early teens when he first started playing at riverbanks being inspired by African-American music from the 50s and Rockabilly.
In addition to his solo performances where he combines improvisation with electronic instruments, he has performed in Japan and abroad with SOIL&"PIMP "SESSIONS, KYOTO JAZZ SEXTET, Jazztronik, Kiyoharu. He is known for his deep and earthy sound of the saxophone and is currently on an exploration to expand a new sound imagery through the Saxophone and sound machines.
